Fantasy Football Buy, Sell, Hold: Kenneth Walker Is An ADP Smash

Cooterdoodle highlights whether she is buying or selling current fantasy football rankings as they relate to the players' respective ADPs in drafts.

Published Updated

This week, I want to look at discrepancies between players' fantasy football ADP and their current consensus fantasy football rankings

While this information can change over the coming months, the strategy remains valuable: Identify steals & deals by cross-referencing current ADP with player rankings.

I'm buying the guys who are going later than you'd expect in relation to their peers, and selling the guys who are being drafted way earlier than our experts have them ranked.

BUY: ADP Deals

KC_chiefs-logo.svgKenneth Walker | RB | KC

  • Consensus Ranking: RB6
  • Consensus ADP: 20.0 (RB9)

I'm not surprised to see SB MVP Kenneth Walker ranked as the RB6 going into the year. Despite leaving his winning team behind to join the 6-11 Chiefs, he's still the uncontested RB1 on the roster.

Sure, KC drafted Emmett Johnson in April, but that wasn't until pick 161. And Walker is walking into a situation where even an aging Kareem Hunt was fed the ball 163 times during his final year with the Chiefs, where he managed 611 yards and 8 TDs.

Walker's fresher legs and elite production are sure to shine alongside Mahomes & Co.

And you can nab him at a discount!

NYJ_jets-logo.svgOmar Cooper Jr. | WR | NYJ

  • Consensus Ranking: WR 50
  • Consensus ADP: 159.4 (WR59)

As you move down a draft board, the discrepancies between rankings and ADP carry less weight. It's like dating: A gap between ages 19-24 feels bigger than 50-59. But we can still talk about it, can't we?

So, let's talk about Omar Cooper. It seems like people don't want to draft anyone on the Jets not named Breece Hall. And that's valid. Hall carried the team in yards last season.

But you could do much worse with a late round pick than taking the rookie WR who's been called a "YAC monster" with WR2 upside.

PHI_eagles-logo.svgDeVonta Smith | WR | PHI

  • Consensus Ranking: WR10
  • Consensus ADP: 38.2 (WR14)

Do I really have to say it?

Before I do, let me remind you that DeVonta Smith has amassed three 1,000-yard seasons over the last four seasons. He's poised to be this year's Jaxon Smith-Njigba. And…

Do I really have to say it? FINE.

A.J. Brown is gone.

BAL_ravens-logo.svgMark Andrews | TE | BAL

  • Consensus Ranking: TE10
  • Consensus ADP: 123.4 (TE15)

Isaiah Likely's departure can only mean good things for Mark Andrews. But more than that, Andrews feels like an absolute steal at his current ADP.

For those who are not keen on drafting one of "The Early Elites" (read: Brock Bowers, Trey McBride and Colston Loveland), you've still got a shot at one of "The Elderly Elites" with Andrews.

He is THE late-round TE to target. And lucky for you, he's currently falling below our consensus rankings in drafts.

CIN_bengals-logo.svgTee Higgins | WR | CIN

  • Consensus Rankings: WR14
  • Consensus ADP: 41.3 (WR17)

C'mon. Joe Burrow is capable of throwing for nearly 5,000 yards!! In 2024, Burrow threw 43 f*cking TDs!!

There's a reason why Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are both being paid like WR1s. They can both feeeeast with Joey B slingin' it.

AND you can draft Higgins at a discount right now … SIGN ME UP.

SELL: ADP Scams

NYG_giants-logo.svgJaxson Dart | QB | NYG

  • Consensus Ranking: QB11
  • Consensus ADP: 83.5 (QB7)

Even though Jaxson Dart fits snugly in our Tier 3 QB rankings, sitting right below the top 10, he is currently being drafted as the QB7.

In other words, in some drafts, Dart is going before guys like Justin Herbert and Caleb Williams

Dart's definitely got the ceiling we love in fantasy because of his feet, finishing as the QB7 or better in six games last season. But the question marks are still there: Can he stay healthy? Is his WR1 Malik Nabers healthy?

At QB7 prices, you better be f*cking sure.

LAC_chargers-logo.svgOmarion Hampton | RB | LAC

  • Consensus Ranking: RB12
  • Consensus ADP: 17.2 (RB9)

Omarion Hampton is the antithesis of Kenneth Walker (mentioned above).

His consensus ADP has him being drafted above guys like Walker, Chase Brown and Derrick Henry—all of whom are ranked higher than Hampton by our experts.

Perhaps the Mike McDaniel effect is extending beyond Justin Herbert? But even with Hampton's yardage and TDs projected to double from his 2025 production, he still sits firmly at RB12.

This doesn't mean Hampton can't put up top-10 numbers some weeks, but people are drafting him at a price that assumes he's going to consistently hit it.

KC_chiefs-logo.svgRashee Rice | WR | KC

  • Consensus Ranking: WR15
  • Consensus ADP: 30.4 (WR11)

The risks are there. Off the field issues have plagued Rashee Rice managers over the years, and there's no crystal ball to tell us if his future is safe.

But allllll of his offseason issues aside, he's also being drafted much earlier than he should be according to his 2026 projections. The market might be a little too excited about his finished jail time.
